Sagittarius Trio

On the strength of a comment from the beginners forum I'm posting this here to dip my toe in the big pool, so to speak.
M8, M20 & co., 25 x 180sec. exp., shot with ST8300c & Sharp Star 76EDPH. Acquired, pre processed & stacked with Nebulosity IV & finished in Ps CS2.
Guiding with PHD & mount controlled with EQmod & CdC. Image was binned 2x2 & resized for posting here. Comments & critical appraisal welcome. Thanks for looking,
Tony

A little too yellow in colour balance...but a fine triplet just the same. Nice

Nicely framed Tony. Lots of nice detail. The yellow cast should be easy to fix.

Thank you Marc,

I acquired this telescope to achieve a fov to frame some larger objects & I promised myself I would be content with that...I'm not sure I am though.

Thanks Geoff,

I posted a repro of the original up top & managed to tone down the yellow cast to some degree.
I'm collecting more data on this as well so I can do a better job of it from scratch without trying to push the colour so much.

Cheers,
Tony

Tony,
Lovely image mate
Glad to see your getting some recognition in the deep space section
It’s nice to see beginners pumping out image after image and finally achieving some recognition from the big guys
Well done !!
PS I’m probably years and years away from jumping up to the next level ( if I ever get there ) , but’s that’s ok I’m happy presenting images within our little band of AP warriors
Keep going !!

Nice image! 2nd version is much better for colour too.
Framing is a tad tight near the triffid, I'm probably nit picking but having an object so close to the edge of the frame creates visual tension - best to have a little space outside of it to let it "breath".
Cheers
Andy
