Flying Spaghetti Monster

This little section of M78 has always reminded me of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Full image to follow in a few days, or maybe longer, when I'm happy with it...

His Noodly Appendage is seen everywhere! I’ve always though Rho Ophiucii and Antares was another manifestation of his noodliness.
Nice image, that’s a subtly contrasting bit of dark nebulosity there - really impressive data and processing!
Cheers
Andrew.

Thanks, Geoff. I had two sets of data, neither quite enough, but together it looks promising.

I reckon so too, Andrew. It can't be a coincidence! Thanks

Thanks you, M&T! I'll identify the HH objects and annotate when I'm done. Must be a few in there.

That'd definitely be an APOD, Lewis. I'll keep an eye out.

Not mine. Hadn't heard mention of the FSM in years, and when you wrote it I recalled that ASCII art from many years ago on USENET groups. Memories...

I had seen it before also. ASCII art was big in the days of line printers (the late Jurassic?)
