Luna 'X'

Got my first luna 'X' tonight , high hazy cloud so I had to switch my cell phone to ' Tungsten '

Long Perng 110mm f6 APO , 14mm TV Radian and Google pixel 2 hand held .

Only cropped to bring in the 'X'

In the cropped version it looks a bit like a Noughts and Crosses game that is currently going badly for the Noughts!

Look forward to see your next pic with a second Cross showing how the game progresses.

Nice capture Brian!

I also get a thrill when I see the X as it is a short lived apparition.

You may also notice that there is a second X just a little bit to the left that is a little more squished. This squished X I thought was the more accepted one a few years ago when I sketched it. It was only when I was finishing off the sketch that I spotted the "fatter" one!

Thanks guys , yes average shots for sure but its harder than most realise to capture as it's only visable for a few hours every cycle and we don't get to see it here every time .

Alex , now you mention it , yes I see the other one , funny that , that until someone points something out we don't see it , and yes Ross , naughts and crosses for sure .

For any interested in the Luna X ,,,,,

,,,, next one due in Australia ,,, early 2019 in the am . 2.7654 days after this bad boy . But there is a Luna crescent in today's Luna shot ( look towards the terminator )
