Darrin - yep i am very very happy with it - I also took some 1080 video of the moon just before the eclipse started and all I can say is WOW!

Going way back to the 19th century, I believe we came from either Yorkshire or Fife - nobody seems to remember! Our family name has a knack of turning up all over the place.
The pic I posted is completely untouched, but to my eyes this eclipse was no redder than any I've previously seen. I rate Graham's image as far and away the best image I've seen of this eclipse, with the possible exception of the current APOD!

Hi Mike, thanks for IOTW, this shot is defanetly not a composit, it is a 100% long exposure. I did up to 60 seconds too but they are not as nice as this
