It's raining - should I order a new scope now?

The title says it all. I cannot even use the equipment that I have. Should I spend another $8K for a new scope?

Are you looking to extend the rain until July?

Go for it John!

Little bird told me that we will have pristine skies in April during school holidays, so I will be able to collect first data with my new telescope

Definitely the time to order new gear in eastern NSW, the recent weather and current forecast is that cloudy and wet I've forgotten what it's like to be outside under the sun or stars! I'll be de-moulding the scope before using it at this rate.

Ordering new gear is hardly going to make the weather less astro-friendly...

Woot!

But really, did you expect to ask this question on an astronomy forum and expect us to say "no"?

It does look like a very tempting telescope that I can technically afford but cannot afford
