I think I lost bladder control with this one. Not only is it pointed at the ground in typical "I have no idea" fashion, but the camera is pointing skywards as is the finder.

I wonder if they are selling because of the disappointing views?

If the price was more like $100, I'd take it off their hands. I have sent her a message explaining how to correct it.

There's another application - take book full of nice colour images, prop that up at the end of the garage and use the scope to do indoor astronomy

There are a lot of people on gumtree that have obviously got hold of a telescope and have never used it. So many Newtonians pointing to the ground. Here's a gumtree pic from last week, looks like they had a few problems with the assembly instructions.

Its only upside down because they couldn't afford the erecting eyepiece, thus they have correct image.
