'Stiletto' Focusers - Anyone got one and using it ?

Found this by accident - looks like a nifty accessory for prefocusing prior to using the Autoguider :

Might get one.

Hi Ian

I did use one some time ago for my Pentax *istDS DSLR and it did work as advertised.

However, I found it fiddly to fit the Stiletto device, focus it and then remove it to attach the Pentax camera. Now that I have a Canon 40D with Live View and my trusty Bahtinov Mask, I can achieve perfect focus more efficiently without that fuss.

I did have one early problem with the Stiletto system (no fault of the Stiletto) in that the T-Adapter on my Pentax *istDS had some play in it, which resulted in incorrect focus after the Stiletto had registered the correct focus. This was due to the slop in the T-Adapter which was fixed when I purchased a better manufactured Vixen T-Adapter for the Pentax.

Cheers

Dennis

I used one in the past but it was designed for 300d/350d/400d Canon cameras only. It worked excellent for getting a sharp focus in seconds.
