Demolition TimeLapse

Something a little different :

I have my hand in capturing TimeLapse photo's, only now & then for a Company here in SE QLD, and these are then Processed and Edited by the Manager/Owner which used approx 1/2 of what was captured

I merely rocked up on site at the crack of dawn, man 4 cameras, moving around for different views, changing cards which fill up every 20-40 mins depend of size!

This day had filled 8 x 16G & 10 x 8G cards, and still had to stretch them out as the day drew closed, Approx 4pm !

Its a 3 minute Vid with good background Sound - Hope you enjoy ...

Pacman

Awesome Bob. very nice. I like the slow pan from right to left as the building slowly gets eaten by the monster pacman! Really interesting to see how the excavator carefully and methodically pushed 'each brick' off above the window frames, as if they wanted to keep the window in-tacked, only to then set-about demolishing the window frame! - what the? Well there's obviously a correct way of demolishing a building I guess...

Nice capture Bob.

Cheers
Steve

Yes & thanx Steve, I thought exactly the same on this one, apparently some bricks can have more an explosive reaction when fall from height onto the concrete footpath, shards can fly at speed, so purposely & painstaking time to insure all fell other side keeping workers and me safe - regulation

Cheers Gary, ,
Long day, was distracted once or twice watching things and forgot about the cameras, A flat battery here or a full card there, once a small truck parked in front of one camera, I didnt notice for a whole hour, , - but all came together well

That's great Bob!

Love how in that last segment the first machine picks the bricks off bit by bit, then supports the walls while big brother takes the building down piece by piece.....

Wonder if the Deen Brothers used to worry about keeping the dust down like that?

I'm surprised they closed the road. I doubt that there was one morsel of brick out of place the whole day.

Yeah eh, they've been around a while too. Interestingly, the helping excavator at the 2:04 mark actually Jack hammers the Largest RSJ upright to fracture and heat it up so it 'Bends' at the right spot at ground level, tricks-of-the-trade

Oh, The Deen Bro's got a rep of their own them fella's
