Comet 46P/Wirtanen

Comet 46P Wirtanen is about mag 8 at the moment but may brighten to mag 4 or 3 and become a naked eye object before Christmas. But you know comets, they do what they want.

My first comet image with the new ASI 183. The red trail to the top left is a satellite on the red layer.

G'day Kevin,

Nice early shot of this one. I've been looking forward to this one for a few years (like Ison). I think this will be good though, at least it is a regular comet. You've been doing some great images lately!

Tony.
