Problems with Canon Powershot A-80

Hello My Boss's Daughter owns this Canon A-80 Camera can anyone tell me What has caused it to Take Images like This.Tony. We swapped Memory Cards no Difference . Even in Live View it shows the same Distorted image. Tony

Canon had a problem with some (most) CCDs fitted (see link) to a range of cameras ..the A80 was one of them. Just contact your Canon service agent & they will arrange a free repair.

I think the problem was poor soldering on the CCD pads...something like that.

my A 85 has given up the ghost ..but Canon Australia said $160 or was it $180? to just look at it so there doesn't seem much point

well it was great while it lasted
