moonage from 27 march 2021

this was a two shot stitch in jpegs just to test out the scope and camera. lx200 12" with canon eos Ra with a multispectrum filter left in as i was doing other things. 1/400 iso400. its not crisp, it has far too much atmospheric fabric softner

Nice enough image despite the seeing, it was not the steadiest. Glad to see that I wasn't the only one out staring at the moon last night. The main thing that I noticed and it shows well in your image, is the favourable libration for viewing the large crater Bailly. Not that often that it is as open as it is currently.

See when you have someone who has knowledge it makes a big difference. Thanks for the feedback. In my ignorance I had no idea but what a happy result. The seeing was very average to poor, focus was hard to get.
