SOL 25th November 2020

Hi all,
Its been since the last transit of Venus that I shot the mighty orb but I plucked up the courage to revist by shooting the twin sunspots this bright morning at 9am using firstly a 40 sec grab with the zwo 290MM mini and then swapped over to the CANON 60D with UV/IR Cut at 1/5000 ISO 100 just to see the whole view as it stands at the moment.

In the past I've damaged (cooked actually) gear doing this but I was super cautious this time around. Once bitten....twice shy.

I applied a mylar filter (hand made ) over the apeture of my 10" Newt.

Cheers,
Anth

Good work there Anthony, capturing some beautiful detail in those spots. This may lead to a whole new avenue to explore and it won't interfere with your sleep! Well done!
