Getting back into the game!

Hi all,

long time no see

With tax returns around the corner, I was seriously thinking about digging into my deeeeeep pockets and pulling some cash to re-buy my gear!

Since i've been out of the game for a while, any newer gear suggestions?

I used to run a EQ6-R pro, RC8 carbon fibre, ZWO ASI1600MM-Pro.

Preferably looking at spending a simiar amount, but don't want to deal with the whole collimation of an RC8 again, maybe looking at a nice refractor. I used to have a skywatcher black diamond ED80 before the RC8, so something with a little more power than that?

I know I could just look at a shop like Bintel, but I would love suggestions too!

Nice to see you all again,

Jacob.

I have a 115 mm TS optics which seems to be good value, same camera and it is destined for an eq6 although I have it on an eq5 whilst the eq6 is waiting a pull down.
Shorter fl which may or may not appeal.
So far I am very happy with it.
And don't underestimate a little 80 mm I am blown away with its performance and such a manageable size.
Good luck getting back into it.

Thanks for the advice. Good to see you're still around these forums and still improving day by day!

Cheers!
