Another magnificent prominence

Huge prom right now on Sol. Amazing. One for the imagers here. Waiting get my Mallincam setup.

Had to try an image to show the grandkids, so just held the Galaxy S9 to they eyepiece... ok so it's rubbish and gives no justice to the splendid "curtain effect" I can see in the eyepiece but had to post something as this Solar stuff is starting to become addictive. I look forward the the afficionados here putting up their magnificent images in the hope that soon I may contribute.

Thanks for the heads up but unfortunately it is precipitating H2O from a vertical direction so no chance to take a peek or image.

Managed to capture a little data later in the afternoon - the seeing was typically poor, but I'm happy with the end product. Much sweeter visually though as is always the case when the atmosphere won't play nice!

That is lovely JB...I must talk re imaging..a little different to Supernova imaging it seems hehe
