Dark emu rising over the fires

Somewhat symbolic, but an opportunity last week with a hazard reduction burn in the Royal National Park and favourable winds. 6DII @24mm, 2x90s @ ISO 1600, foreground 30s untracked.

Interesting shot Andy, good capture. You certainly won't see many nightscapes with a bush fire and the Milky way in it, even if it is a controlled burn off. I'm just surprised that after the devastating bush fires earlier this year, there was any large bush areas left to burn!

Spectacular combination.
Looks like a shot across the Hacking River valley.
