Takahashi FSQ-85

The OTA only is pending. I will be advertising the flattener separately for $320 posted.

Hi,

*IMPORTANT* THE sale does NOT include the guidescope shown in the photos.

The fsq-85 ‘baby-q’ needs no introduction. The serial number shows it to be built in 2014 and has a flat field for APS-C sensors. I added the Takahashi fsq-85 dedicated 1.01x field flattener (alters it from f/5.3 to f/5.4). It produces a 44mm image circle and I can vouch for this as stars with the EOS Ra full frame camera were round in each corner. The optics are simply perfect. I have included a single 30s full frame of M42 to demonstrate the veracity of the statement. Prices with and without the flattener below.

It comes with a vixen bar, an alternative Losmandy saddle and a smaller plate to attach to the top of the rings for connecting other items. It also comes with various Takahashi parts shown in the photo that came with it when I bought it (I’m not the original owner).

The price is for OTA, rings and various dovetails and bars. Other items that may appear in the photos are not included in the price.

$3000 +shipping for the OTA as described above.

$3350 + shipping for the above plus the Takahashi 1.02x flattener

As a couple of people have asked so I’ll share for everyone. Whilst I intended to use the scope for imaging actually it is a fantastic visual performer and the scope includes the appropriate adapters to use a diagonal and/eyepiece

Can you tell me the composition of the viewfinder/guidescope? I need to do something similar for my TAK 106ED

? Not too sure I understand the question. I'm selling the fsq-85 OTA. It does not include a finder and nor does it include the guidescope shown in the photos. If you are planning to image you will have to add a guidescope - but it does have a vixen finder shoe so you can just buy an guidescope and attach it.
