I have been talking with Daniel and Bod about this

As it turns out, the scope I have in mind for this mount is too big for it - it is heavier than the load rating of 25lbs this mount has! BUGGER!

I've been looking forward to one of these mounts for so long, and I fall short just when one pops up within touch!

For what it's worth, these Evo mounts are really very good. They make use of bronze gears, not plastic like the SE mounts. Who ever is looking for a very good alt-az mount with go-to capability, this mount won't disappoint. Just note that it is best for SCTs, Maks and short refractors.

Ah, thats unfortunate. I own the celestron 8 evo with the mount and it works a treat. one of the easiest mounts to set up for go to with high accuracy.

I totally agree with you Tony.
The Evolution mount is a great mount, easy to set up and use, and with the 150mm Maksutov scope it is my perfect grab and go portable set up.
It is easy to pick up and carry the complete set up.

Both my portable scopes and mounts that I have advertised are only being sold because of my on going health issues.
