OT: Microscopy camera?

Hi,

just wondering if anybody has had any experience with microscopy cameras?
I'm playing around with a trinocular microscope and would like to do some darkfield imaging/video. I've butchered a webcam (Logitech c510) and fitted it, but is too noisy and lacks sensitivity. Has anybody any experience with microscopy cameras and could point me in the right direction regarding either building or buying one that would work properly? There are lots available on line at varying prices, but not sure how well they work...

cheers
Gary

What is your budget? There are some seriously good microscopy cameras available second hand, especially for high-res mono work.

Drop me an e-mail peter at mudgee dot net and we can chat, (colour/mono, resolution etc.) I have built lots of microscopy cameras from various sources. I can send you some to try out to get a feel for what you need.
