Skywatcher Synguider v1 Autoguider

Selling my autoguider, works great through my mid sized refractor but not through my tiny finder guidescope im looking to start using instead.

Selling only to change to a ZWO autoguider, I use my laptop for the camera so I dont have a need for the stand alone guider.

In good working order.
Comes with all the bits shown in the photo.

Needs a 6v power supply, happy to throw in a 6v transformer at no charge if needed.

Looking for $180

I'm interested, but where does one get a 6V power supply for the field?

I have made a power distribution box that has a regulator in it that takes the 12v supply to the mount and outputs 7v. I use it to power my camera and my Synguide. The Synguide will work at a range of voltages but closer to 6v the better.

I would totally recommend one of these little BEC's - or - battery eliminator circuit. They're used in RC aircraft and supply the servos and other gear with a nice clean 5v. Most BEC's can go up to 6v via a jumper or solder pads.

These are very reliable - http://www.castlecreations.com/en/cc-bec-010-0004-00

Otherwise you can get them for $5-$10 off ebay.

Just wire it into your 12v and off you go

Basically im trying to keep the weight of my setup to a minimum as im running close to the maximum for my stand with my 8" newt.
I brought a tiny little guidescope (ZWO 30F4 Guidescope) and while this works with the Synguider, the guidescope is a little too small for it and its hard to pick up faint stars.
I was originally using it with a 102x500mm refractor and it worked great.

The main reason someone would want to use the Synguider over PHD is that it doesnt need any type of computer connected. The synguider unit plugs straight into the autoguide port on your stand and away it goes.
