I've seen things like this for sale online:
https://starizona.com/products/avx-l...anced-vx-mount

I've just been using a basic spirit level ruler from Bunnings in the mean time since I already owned it for home DIY projects. But I've kept an eye out for something simple that I can permanently attach to my AVX tripod.

Bubble level

Cannot believe the starizona level is up to 75 dollars usd to ship to australia and costs 14 usd.

Has anyone made a flat round plate like a dohnut shape with a teardrop type extension so you can rest or stick a bubble level to. Would go between the mount and the mount head.

Regards
Kon

Hi Kon,

I use one of these successfully on a number of mounts (Meade LX90, Celestron CG5, SW AZEQ6 & now on a Berlebach & Ioptron CEM25).

I level my tripod prior to fitting the head... simply place it on top & rotate it around to check various axis...

Also comes in handy with home handyman projects where a small spirit level is needed...

Cheers
