Helpful Video for free processing.

I found this video very helpful for Deep Sky Stacked and Gimp showing a reasonably simple approach.
I have found the latest Gimp rather good but found this video most helpful and post a link which I hope is helpful for folk starting out like me...let me know your impressions.

Thanks for that.

Astrofarsography on youtube also has a similar video here (using GIMP):

Out of curiosity Xelasnave, how do you bring the nebula out so to speak using GIMP?

Im having trouble with the color select tool at the moment.

Hi Sal
I generally use photo shop and perhaps the only thing I do that others may not is use the "dodge" tool to lighten selected regions and the "burn" tool to darken say a dust lane to bring it out more.
I think one could do this with masks no doubt.
In the latest Gimp they have dodge and burn tools...
Thanks for the link.

Nice find Alex. GIMP's a great 'FREE' alternative to Photoshop that's very capable of astro processing. I switch between the two all the time.
