SDC-435 vs SCB-4000 for video astronomy

Hi guys,

Both Samsung security cameras are available on ebay now with a SDC-435 about $120 cheaper than a SCB-4000. Which one will be the best under Melbourne light polluted sky.

The only difference I can see is SDC-435 comes 1/3" CCD and SCB-4000 comes with 1/2" CCD.

I was thinking of getting one after reading of people using them on CN, but never got around to it. I use an old Mintron for video astronomy up to now.

I am thinking now to go with Astro video APU-1. Considering it is complete system with all controls and cooling for just US$599 it may be worth to try it.

Samsung is cheaper but there is no camera control apart from the back of a camera and to get a control for Samsung will cost extra $200
Plus Samsung cameras do not come with cooling.

There are also cheap ones on alliexpress for just $70 and I believe Astro Video systems is using some of these cameras but it is just a camera without nothing else and there are a few reports on cloudynight from guys who have received the wrong model from an alliexpress seller. Then they have to pay extra $40 to get the right model shipped to them again.
