Automated focusing further questions

Thank's for the earlier replies, I'm still trying to get my head around Autofocusing.
At this stage my option is a robofocuser. I run Nebulosity for capturing and pre processing, this will run independently of the autofocusing program.
My question is what software am i supposed to buy for autofocusing?

The guys at Robofocus must be busy at the moment so i haven't heard back from them what software is supplied with their focusing units.

I hear a lot about FocusMax. Is this the only software needed or do i have to look at software such as MaximDL and ImagesPlus?

Not prepared to make a purchase until i know exactly what i have to buy.

Regards
Carl

To use focusmax you will need ccdsoft or maximdl. Not sure if other software is supported. Focus max uses those programs to control the camera.

You could also try Bahtinov Grabber as it now has autofocus using a Bahtinov mask

The only problem is that if you install the 64bit version or the 32bit version on a 64bit operating system, the Ascom drivers don't work when they are not 64bit like the fcusb ascom driver.
