Dark Frames

If a dark frame is taken at the same temperature as the sensor and same integration time, how critical is it that it be taken at the same ambient temperature? In essence, is it worthwhile building a library of darks on cloudy nights?

Mark,

It makes no difference what the ambient temperature, it is the sensor temperature that is important.

Yes, definitely. You don't want to waste good imaging time taking darks.
