Comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) 30/07/2014

Hi,

Comet C/2012 X1 (LINEAR) is still performing quite well presenting a good tail.
Estimated magnitude 9.5 to 10.
Some good conjunctions coming up with Grus galaxies until August 10th.

4 x 5 minute subs, ISO 1600.
Stacked in DSS, processed in PS7 and Cs2.

Nice colour and tail! That's one thing which doesn't work for my mono camera ... colour comets ... end up with rainbows star trails

There are ways around that Roger. Damien Peach wrote an article on how to do it, but I've gone and lost the link. It's a lot of mucking about though.
