Skywatcher EQ6-R PRO lost its way

My mount seems to have lost its way. I accidentally moved the RA and the Dec with the clutches locked (knocked the OTA which acted as a lever and moved the lot). Now the mount just can't seem to point to the correct position, not even close.
I have factory reset the SynScan, should I now:
1. Update the firmware,
2. Synchronize the encoders, and

3. Reset the home position

Is there anything else I should do?

If you tell it to go to Acrux or another bright star that you easily have in view, unlock the clutches and the manually centre whatever star you chose. Lock the clutches. Hold down ESC until the screen starts flashing and then push Accept or whatever it is on the hand pad.

This will tell Synscan that you’re manually centering the star and it should be good from there.
