NGC2237 - Monoceros

I found this very difficult...initially just to find it.

I had only 30 * 60s subs to work with (clouds and poor seeing and poor focus) and my old Canon500 kept locking up.

I guess it would take 10 times that to end up with a good result...

and a new camera :-)

You've picked up a faint target. You'd need to do 10 to 15min subs and stack a dozen to start getting something especially in RGB. The rosette has a low surface brightness. Keep at it and it'll come up.

then you can look at processing techniques to enhance nebulosity and reduce stars slightly to make it all pop.
