Skywatcher EQ6-R died last night

2 weeks old and now packaged up to be sent away.

At first I noticed the stars were miss shapen, and then PHD kept giving out warning messages and stopped guiding.

I 'focused' on the scope and did a reset and re alignment.
The mount began to slew and then it made a loud squeal. Uh oh.

It stopped in mid slew and the show was all over.

Pulling the cover off the declination belt drive inspection port, I could see the belt was out of alignment and there was some rubber particles around.

No way I will attempt to fix it (void the warranty ?)

Sooo, I won't be imaging for a few weeks
