SGP and targets.....

Well I'm almost there...the ob's is set up.
Scope in place.
Laptop loaded with everything it needs (I think)
EQMOD/ASCOM all working fine
Test ran it last night and PHD2 is giving me 5 minute subs no worries. (used APT for the test)

....but my concern is SGP, it plates solves (local, no network access in the obs) on pictures I have taken and integrates with my equipment ok so I'd definitely like to use it but I cant work out how you get a GOTO function happening with it???

How do I centre on a specific object? From what I've read I need to populate the details from another program and basically cut/paste in to the cord's section of SGP......is this correct? Obviously I can do it this way but without network access that's problematic to say the least (I think)

This grasshopper asks that SGP masters have pity for me and provide advice!

Either enter the coordinates in the Target Settings or use a planetarium such as Carte du Ciel...

There are a couple of ways. You can plate solve a region and SGP will populate the coordinates into the target that way. What I usually do is just copy the coordinates over from TheSkyX.

Another way is to use the Mosaic Wizard, get it to load maybe a 1º region of sky around your target, place a single frame (not a mosaic) where you want it and save.
