Meade #1220 fiele de-rotator $350

MEADE #1220 FIELE DE-ROTATOR

This unit is in as new condition only used a few times.

$350 Express Posted to anywhere in Australia

PM Me if you are interested.

The Meade #1220 Field De-Rotator is the equatorial wedge alternative. If you want to do long exposure photo or CCD imaging (over 5 minutes) in altazimuth mode without a wedge, you can correct for field rotation (which results from the scope not rotating on the same axis that the earth does) with the Meade Field De-Rotator. Attaches to the rear cell of your telescope to precisely counter the effects of altazimuth-induced field rotation. For 7", 8", 10", 12" and 14" LX200 and RCX400/LX400 models including 16". Meade #1220 Field De-Rotators attach to the rear cell of your telescope and plug into an RS232 port. Digital data fed from the telescope's microprocessor to the Meade #1220 Field De-Rotator permit precise and continuous update of the de-rotation required to maintain pinpoint star images throughout the field. The effect is that even during the longest CCD or photographic exposures, the telescope acts as if it were precisely equatorially mounted.
