Wireless introduction with smartphone
TEMMA3 has a built-in wireless LAN as standard. SkySafari 6*, which is an astronomical application that supports Japanese display, can be used to automatically install smartphones. Windows PCs that can connect to Wi-Fi can be installed wirelessly by installing a virtual COM port driver and using compatible software. Since it can be automatically installed not only on a computer but also on a smartphone or tablet, it can be used conveniently at a watching party.

Wired connection with USB and RS232C
TEMMA3 integrates the connection with peripheral devices into the power interface. Until now, the EM series equatorial mount connected the power to the power jack on the equatorial mount, but the TEMMA3 supplies power to the equatorial mount via the power interface. The power interface has a built-in wireless LAN chip and can be connected to a PC either wirelessly or by wire. In addition to RS232C, wired connection can be made with USB, which has been requested by many customers.

On the left side of the power interface, there is a USB terminal (USB2.0 Type-B), RS232C terminal (male), and power input terminal for connecting to a personal computer. On the right side are the power switch for the equatorial mount, the connector that connects to the equatorial mount panel, and the USB connector that outputs DC5V 0.5A.
When the power is turned on, the wireless LAN and USB output terminals are enabled regardless of the state of the equatorial mount power switch.
The power supply to be driven is compatible with a width of 10.5V to 24V DC. Choose from 12V DC, which is easy to arrange, and 24V DC, which can suppress the current, depending on the situation. The power input terminal has a lock to prevent it from being accidentally pulled out. You can also insert a conventional DC plug here.

Hand controller

A liquid crystal display (LCD) is built into the hand controller, so you can display the right and left declination values ​​and check the setting items.

There are more items that can be customized by the customer than the conventional model, and can be set according to the usage environment.

TEMMA3 can set the guide speed, medium speed setting, high speed setting, acceleration/deceleration time, tracking speed, illuminance of extreme illumination, etc. by operating the hand controller, and the current setting status can be confirmed on the LCD.

The conventional model had two speeds, high speed and correction speed, but TEMMA3 added medium speed to make it 3 speeds. The medium speed without constant acceleration can be comfortably introduced manually. Medium speed can be set from the hand controller.

The setting of the correction speed can be set from 1 to 99% of the time of a star while checking it on the LCD, which is convenient for adjusting the auto guider.

TEMMA3 has the operation mode function that can change the reaction direction of the equatorial mount when the correction button is pressed so that the star in the field of view moves in the direction of pressing the button on the hand controller. Visually, the operability is improved because the direction of pressing the button and the direction of reaction can be matched.

Equatorial panel

The functions of the interface and setting switches, which were used in the previous model on the equatorial mount panel, are assigned to the hand controller and power supply interface, making the equatorial mount panel simple.

The TEMMA3 equatorial mount panel has connectors for connecting the hand controller, power interface, and auto guider.

The hand controller and power interface are connected with a flexible cable that uses a one-touch connector.

The terminals of the auto guider are the same RJ-12 shaped terminals as the Temma2Z.
