A SkyWatcher Star Adventurer can be used, it has Sidereal, Solar and Lunar tracking modes. I have used mine with a Coronado PST, a 4" SCT and a DSLR for widefield photography.

Hi Jeremy,

I have one that has a solar telescope permanently fixed to it I kid you not. Unable to remove it from the mount, I'm not sure how it could be repaired if need be. I found it worked well, found the sun after a while using its gps and other technology and then when the sun was overhead and the scope was perpendicular, it just shut down.

Another sore point is that it can only be run off AA batteries, no external power connection available.

I bought a Skywatcher MiniAZ GoTo WiFi mount to see if that went any better to follow the sun. At lease it can be powered externally.

Cheers, Fred
