That's not a knife....

The east-coast low that is now dumping rain is probably due the new Taka 645 reducer I ordered some months ago, finally arrivied today.

An impressive piece of glass. Much much larger than the more commonly seen Taka 0.73x reducer (at left) ...
My hope is this puppy will give a nice wide ultra-corrected field for the new crop of high resolution large format sensors
we are now seeing.

Unfortunately the adapters I need to couple this beast to a camera are yet to arrive...but probably will do so just in time for another east-coast low to lob..

Begging the question...is there anyone else out there using a 645 reducer on a FSQ106?
and what sort of results are you getting?
