MT-160 Primary fan

Hi all,

With winter coming soon, that means dew! Currently i have no way to prevent dew on my setup, and my primary mirror gets quite dewy, so i did some research and apparently heating the primary is a terrible idea. What i want to do apparently is have a fan on, letting air flow onto the primary.

But...
The scope i have, the Takahashi MT-160 has a closed tube at the end. It does have a rubber black cover that seems to be removable, or at least cuttable. (see attached pic)
Would this work, and would it even help?

Logan, PLEASE, please oh please oh please, do NOT cut anything on this VERY collectable Tak! You'll never get a replacement.

Could you try a longer dewshield, made out of neoprene mat or plastic sheet?

Yo sure you won't sell me the MT-160???
