HDR- which cameras do five autobracketed shots

Hello,

HDR is extremely popular and it seems most cameras produce three photos in the set: one negative EV shot, neutral EV shot, one positive EV shot. This gives excellent results.

Does anyone know which cameras allow for five autobracketed shots in the set? I would think that five shots (two -ve, two +ve, one neutral, e.g. -2,-1,0,+1,+2) would be useful when there is a larger range of brightness.

cheers,
DJDD

DJDD,

The Nikon's give you 5 bracketed shots, and, I think, up to 7.

The Canon's give you 3. It's no biggie. Set to -2 EV, 0 EV, +2 EV, and then do -1 EV, 0 EV and +1 EV.

Turf the extra 0 EV, and you're good to go.

Regards,
Humayun

hey, thanks for the reply.
Which Nikons? probably the newer D90 or D300? certainly not our D80.

as for doing: -2 EV, 0 EV, +2 EV, and then do -1 EV, 0 EV and +1 EV.
great idea. did not even think of that.

My D300 Nikon does 7 bracketed shots. I use 5 a lot when shooting stationary targets.

Cheers

The Nikon D200 will do 5... The D2Xs will do 7. The D300/700 D3/D3X will both do 7 also..

Humayun's idea is what I used to do with my 350D..
