Looking great Matt!
Your whole setup probably weights less than the AZ-EQ6 head

Hi Matt,
Looks great! I have a similar visual setup for my Borg ED89, just wondering what you have used for the SynScan handset cradle?

That is neat Matt. It also maximises time spent with that optic rather than set up and finding things.

Thanks guys, tested it out last night and it all works well together.
Although I have tried the Synscan App on my Android, I prefer having the handset and leave the phone at home.

The total weight is a little under 7.5Kg so a one handed carry out the door, couple of eyepieces in the pocket and my observing chair in the other hand!

The cradle for the handset is the remnants of a damaged SW syncs cradle that came with the original tripod, the L bracket is a little DIY job, the bracket attaches to a setscrew I installed into the base of the mount....

Opening up the AZGTi to install the setscrew also allowed me to adjust the azimuth backlash.

Grab&GoTak

Nice set up. I got Az GT-i too and replaced stock saddle with pan-head.

I like the way you mounted hand controller, I need to copy but need to find a holder first
