45 ft narrowboat.
home for summer every year until I'm too old to wind the locks.
cuts into my astro time but it's a good trade

I can remember visiting the SS Great Britain in 1971 not long after it arrived back from the Falklands. I was only 8 at the time but it is a very clear memory.
Nice to see they wonderful restoration job they have done.

Also love the narrowboat Jen!

That looks wonderful Jennifer. So envious.
A boat story: When were were young all those many decades ago, my big brother was a model builder and his crowning achievement was a metre long model of the Cutty Sark, a boart famous in Australian history. Some time ago he got to go to England and he toured the ship and was really excited by it. His timing was perfect because it burned down to the water line a week later. Sometimes you can just be lucky.
