Star charts.

Steve tinderboxsky..just jogged my memory on these charts, esp useful for doubles or just for some good maps to see the sky and print , by Japanese amatuer Toshimi Taki..and well done to him.

There already is a star atlas sticky in the beginners talk section.

I'm a big fan of Taki's atlas. If I have to find something specific, I use the mag 6 or 8 atlas depending on the rate of motion of the object.

I'll import the chart into Photoshop, plot the path of say a comet, NEO etc onto it then invert the whole thing to give me white stars on black background, my favoured tone scheme.
