polar alignment question

I was just wondering if using a barlow with my 12.5mm illuminated recticle eyepiece would be better than using just the eyepiece alone when i do 2,3 star align and polar aligning?

I would think that the 12.5mm recticle eyepiece would be good enough on its own, but as with many astronomy things it's sometimes best to try it and see for yourself.

Tony
The 12.5mm illuminated reticle eye pieces are a pain to use, narrow apparent field of view , poor illuminator , small eye relief etc...,
My recommendation is to buy an Orion 20mm 70 degree illuminated reticle eye piece
A superior eye piece with wide field , more magnification, good eye relief and a very good illuminator
The additional cost is well worth it I can assure you
I think they are still available through Bintel
Cheers
