Startech SVID2USB23

https://tinyurl.com/y9y8m4vs
$56

Works with Mac OSx or Windoze

Comes with a CD-ROM or if you don't have a CD drive, just download the Mac/PC driver from the Startech Web page. Plug it in, feed in a video signal and press record.

Video Downloadhelper - it's an extension for Chrome or Firefox. Works everywhere (almost) and it's totally free (unless you go for the non-necessary Pro version)

Seems Joe and I are advising totally different things

Do you want to download / "record" streaming video from Youtube, Vimeo etc, or do you want to upload or stream pre-recorded stuff?

Hi Lewis,

Good point. We all comprehend things from our own viewpoint.

I understood the question to mean the poster wanted to record by frame grabbing a video stream from a video camera on a telescope. This being Ice in space and all.

Guess we wait for the OP to clarify what’s required

Joe

Lewis - thanks - I have just downloaded Video Downloadhelper. It looks pretty straitforward.
