Let's start with the horsehead...

Just started to image for the first time using a moded canon 5d mark 111. Taken 20 120 second exposures at iso1600. Single subs look very red (look at the attached) I havent taken any bias, flat or dark frames yet. But i did stack in dss to see what happened. Not impressed with the result so guess i need to move onto post processing. This is hard! But fun...

When you import your Raw files into DSS remember to check the box which says auto white balance.

I did dome post processing and wow. Really exciting first result. More to learn but very encouraging. The image attached is a very compressed jpg. The tiff image i have is awesome.
