Mamaba is correct, don't start selling your stuff yet, at our age Astronomy is one of the last things we have left to keep us going, it is a passion, it makes life worth while.
There are more ways than one to skin a cat, the challenge is to find ways to lift those telescopes that require you to do less work, even if it means getting someone to help you to do it.
As someone mentioned in the reply's, wait till you have fully recovered before you part with those telescopes, which have taken you a lifetime to acquire, and you love dearly.

I only now became aware of your situation.
Yesterday would have been one of the few days I did not look at whats for sale...I was busy playing with new stuff.
I certainly hope everything turns out well for you.
They can give one a fright thats for sure.
But dont over react.
Apart from avoiding mowing the lawns, which is a great benefit to exploit after an attack, dont let it scare you too much.
I had one years ago and it caused me to become very timid and I actually gave up drinking and smoking for a while.
If there is anything I can do let me know as it would be no trouble to call by on one of my trips North on the way there or back.
No lawns however.
