Windy Melbourne

I had the scope out tonight for a while, as I wanted to check out the new moon with my 35mm panoptic. The forecast on Meteoblue was for the jetstream to be around 80m/s, and sure enough the moon was swimming.

The occasional moment of clarity was very nice, but overall the strong winds at ground level and soupy seeing got the better of me, and I packed it in around 7.45. I'd seen enough to appreciate the new setup, but I'll be pleased when things settle down...

Cheers

Stephen

Yup. Windiest winter I can recall. In general I don't mind cold or rain, but blustery wind is super annoying and particularly bad for planetary photography <angry face>

I have to satisfy myself with getting better at processing old data.
