My new DIY website for Arcadia Observatory

I have finally launched my website for my DIY observatory - Arcadia Observatory.

I'm soliciting comments and observations as long as they are printable. I'm no web developer.

www.arcadiaobservatory.org

I'm still working on a few bugs and not quite complete pages.

Welcome E23 from E08.

Another good site to get asteroid follow-up targets is

Nice start to the website.

Site is functional and easy to get the info so that's the main thing. It seems you've used a microsoft office product to generate the pages. I reckon it would make your life a lot simpler if you used a online templating system such as wix or others. Code will be lighter and easier to maintain. They also have a range of predefined designs and layouts to chose from.

Congratulations Andras. That looks like a great spot and a classic design for your observatory.

Best

I love the Observatory Andras, I would love to make one like that. The sandstone walls gives it a lot of character and uniqueness.

Your website is easy to navigate and the only criticism I have it only takes up half a screens width. It would be a lot more pleasing to the eye if it stretched right across the screen. That is only a minor fault in my eyes so leave it as is, if its too difficult to change.

Cheers
Bill

Thanks Marc, you are right it's MS Publisher, the first time I used it. I'm told it's very inefficient with a lot of unnecessary code.

Take a look at Weebly.com for free website generation. It also has a paid version with more options but easy to use, plenty of nice templates.
I'm running two and updates take no time, more me thinking of what to say !!
