Swan in Ha

I took this one at the last Wiruna weekend. Peter was complaining about 3" seeing. Well, I was hitting close to 4", so I had to do almost criminal things with deconvolution.

The pic is here: https://www.astrobin.com/420132/

Higher res here: https://www.astrobin.com/full/420132/0/

Total exposure time was 2.5 hours in each of Ha, OIII and SII, but so far I've only done the Ha version.

Bin 2 x 2, FLI Proline 16803, AP900mount, 12.5" PlaneWave.
Processed in PixInsight
FOV 49' x 49'

Colour version to follow.

Well captured field of Ha Geoff showing lots of detail and whisps of nebulosity extending to the corners of the image. This orientation always looks like a celestial nose to my eye

Certainly looks like a salvageable data set Geoff, despite the untimely Wiruna wobbles I can see the decon effects in places but you have camouflaged'em pretty well

Very deep result for 2.5 hours. The "cygnet" at bottom right came out really well - all wet and feathers and straight out of the egg.

We think you got away with the decon. To the casual eye it looks great, and needs must.
