You make it look easy. That's a great result for a "quick test".

All looking cool Houghy

Looking at the same concentric outer frame ring feature visible in each of your posted shots so far...I'm guessing you have an issue with yer flats..?

What's the max ADU on your flats? With the hyperstar I aim for 11k. That seems to be the sweet spot. Darker or lighter I tend to under/over correct.

The exact duration for your flats can be tricky, I have had to use a bit of exposure bracketing to find the sweet spot for each filter when using the H694 and AG12 and then keep these in a library, of course I don't move my rig so this would be harder for you and your container ship worth of travelling gear . The 16803 seems to be much more forgiving and I shoot for around 30,000 for each filer and this works well.

Try scaling your flats with pixel maths and re-apply until you hit the right level.

Well, basically...when divided into your light it should make it look evenly lit and with no dark circles

Mike has the Aurora Flat Field Panel which very evenly illuminates the scope for the best possible flat. Ive never had luck with sky flats theres always still some gradient in them.

I might be mistaken but I think the concentric ring effect I see in Dave's RASA images is not from sky gradients but use of incorrectly exposed flats...?

Given the location of the ca mera on these socpes, use of a flat field panel would require a dew extension tube of course.

A good result, David. If you can fix the flat calibration you'll be unstoppable

Great image! Hope you get the flats sorted. I use a flat panel as well, but again, not using a RASA so can’t help much. Lots of trial and error coming up I suspect and probably easier to do that at home then you will have it nailed for when you travel.
