Ngc6937 & ngc6935

Higher resolution here

  • 49x 600s luminance
  • 30x 600s red
  • 23x 600s green
  • 12x 600s blue (I have no idea why I had to reject so many of these)
Total integration 19 hours.

  • QSI 683-ws8 Camera @ -15°C
  • Astronomik luminance, deep sky RGB filters
  • Starlight Xpress Lodestar X2 Autoguider

  • Innovations Foresight On Axis Guider
  • Starlight Instruments Focus Boss II
Location:

  • Orange zone in Brisbane, Australia. (Bortle 7)
  • Imaged over 3 nights. New Moon.
Software:

  • Planning & camera alignment with Aladin 10
  • Captured with TheSkyX Professional
  • Guiding with PHD2
  • FocusLock live focusing
  • PixInsight: calibrate, align, stack, crop, dynamic background extraction, light deconvolution, noise reduction, stretch, curves.

Very well done, Adam. They are small and faint and not easy. Lots of detail and colour.

I did these two this time last year myself, they are a lovely pair and you have captured them quite well Adam. I love the ring of star formation around the core of NGC 6935 it came up really blue in my data.

Nice image Adam. The resolution is very nice too. I can see some very faint outer arms around NGC6935 which might be more visible with more time.
