its arrived - my new sigma 10mm fisheye lens

its here - my new lens. i am really looking forward to using this one. by the way i tested it on my crash test Dummy - Scott Alder

i stood near the front of the car about 2 foot away from it and managed to get the whole thing in........ with Scott i was only a few centimeters away from him LOL

Yeah, gotta love a fish, they're a lot of fun, they give a real carnival effect. I've got the Canon 15mm f2.8 fish, it's my favourite lens. It's worth shooting close at maximum aperture, the DOF is surprisingly shallow despite the F/L.

i focussed on the streetlight to the left of centre, iso 100, f2.8 on the 30D. ok the new gear brought the cloud......

Get closer Dave! About 1cm off the nose makes some great shots! Or a forehead shot is often a good laugh too! I love messing about with a fisheye.

Should do some excellent startrails too.

primarily that's what i got this for was the widefields and scenery for night shots. LOL I will try it on the kids sometime

Not yet, but I intend to. Here's one I took in the front yard @ f2.8, you can see the DOF is still shallow enough for good effect.
