Hi Allan,

Some discussion on Cloudynights
http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthrea...l/fpart/1/vc/1

as well as on the QHY forums 'QHY8 competition'
http://qhyccd.com/ccdbbs/index.php?P...f7&topic=845.0

It would seem the Starshoot Pro does not perform quite as well as a QHY8, but dollar-for-dollar it might be worth considering.

I bought a QHY8 just before the price dropped.
Why do I always do that??

Cheers,

Rob

Thanks for that Rob. After reading all the info I think I will still go for the QHY8 1 or 11

But, you do have an additional year warranty, so that is something to be happy about. I hope..

Yes, Theo, that extra warranty does help and I for one appreciate it. Of course, the best warranty is one we never have to use. My QHY8 is a most reliable beast.

Cheers,

Rob
