Orion .8x focal reducer for ED80?

Anyone tried the Orion .8x focal reducer with an ED80? From what I can read, this is only a reducer - would something like the TV reducer/flattener produce much better results (for 3x the $!!)?

the tv seems to work very well with the ed80 triplet, however there is another for the f/7.5 doublet that works better

The TV ones are also hard to get sometimes. Have you thought about the William optics .80x reducer/flattener? I think the latest version may be improved. Have a look, you never know.
